Wheelchair Services

Wheelchair accommodations should be made directly with your airline in advance of travel and are available for arriving and departing guests.  Departing travelers who booked a wheelchair can utilize our wheelchair call button located on the sidewalk in front of the Departures Level or go directly to your airline’s ticket counter.

TSA Cares

To request TSA Cares assistance when traveling with a disability or medical condition, or to learn about our TSA Cares program, please click here

TSA Cares is a dedicated helpline that provides information on the screening procedures that specifically pertain to those with disabilities, medical conditions, and other circumstances. PSSs are Transportation Security Officers (TSO) who have received advanced training on helping passengers with disability, medical, or other circumstances through the screening checkpoint.
 

Please call TSA Cares at least 72-hours in advance of travel with your travel dates, flight information, and the type of assistance needed. The hours of operation for the TSA Cares helpline are 8 a.m. to 11 p.m. Eastern, Monday through Friday, and 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Eastern, weekends and holidays. You may call (855) 787-2227, or e-mail us here.

If you need in-flight assistance or wheelchair assistance from the curb to the flight, please contact your airline before traveling. Airlines will generally work with you to try to meet your particular needs.

Hidden Disabilities Sunflower Lanyard

LGA has launched a program offering the Hidden Disabilities Sunflower lanyard to passengers with hidden disabilities such as autism, PTSD, or hearing loss. First pioneered at Gatwick International Airport in London, the Sunflower lanyard communicates those passengers wearing the lanyard may need extra help while traveling. It is recognized in a growing number of international airports.  Lanyards are available at the Port Authority of NY and NJ’s Terminal B Welcome Center, located on Level 1 between the hours of 8am-12pm.  Passengers should continue to coordinate with their airlines and/or TSA Cares for pre-travel questions and accommodation arrangements.

Pet/ Service Animal Relief Area (SARA) for service animals are available at Terminal B. Look for the pet relief symbol for designated areas and check the terminal map  for their location.

You'll find charging stations conveniently located in all seating areas throughout both the Western & Eastern Concourses.

 

Is the terminal open 24/7?

No. LaGuardia Airport’s Terminal B is open daily from 4 AM-12 AM.

We have several ATMs throughout the Terminal, See the full map for specific locations.

 

Where can I go to report or recover a lost item?

For items left at the TSA checkpoint (security screening), Please fill out an online claim form here.
Items lost elsewhere at LaGuardia Airport, please fill out a PANYNJ claim form here.
