Supplier Diversity

LaGuardia Gateway Partners is operating LaGuardia Terminal B and building a new best-in-class terminal that New York can be proud of, through a public-private partnership with the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey. We are seeking certified minority and women-owned Business Enterprise (MWBE) subcontractors, vendors and consultants for construction associated with the redevelopment project and operations and maintenance of the terminal. We are also seeking Airport Concessions Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (ACDBE) firms for terminal concession, retail and services opportunities.

The LaGuardia Terminal B Redevelopment project is an extraordinary once-in-a-lifetime project that will not only enhance the landscape of the New York metropolitan region but also invest and grow small businesses and diversify the extremely talented workforce that New York has to offer. We are committed to fostering growth and independence in our communities, and our team has a demonstrated track record of working with certified minority and women-owned business enterprises on our projects.

Construction Opportunities

With the opening of the Terminal B Arrivals and Departures Hall in June 2020, the Terminal B project is more than 80% complete! LaGuardia Gateway Partners is excited to share that as of June 2021, our Prime Contractor,  Skanska-Walsh Joint Venture, has MWBE commitments valued at over $992M to 305 certified firms, exceeding the $687M goal. Payments issued to the MWBE firms exceed $800M. Thank you to everyone who has worked so tirelessly on this project – the new Terminal B would not be possible without you!

As the final stages of the project are underway, we continue our efforts to maximize participation by identifying additional opportunities to engage with the MWBE community on remaining areas of work. The opportunities remaining available are as follows:

  • Demolition

  • Mechanical Work

Additionally, Non-Minority contractors have MWBE contract goals with lower tier opportunities still available. Of course, there is much more development happening at both LGA and JFK. Please check out the Port Authority’s redevelopment websites for more information on these opportunities:

For contracting opportunities as an M/WBE; certification with the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey and/or Empire State Development is required on this project. If you’ve already been certified or will be certified in the near future, please be sure that your business profile on the applicable M/WBE directory has the right services attributed to it and contact information is up-to-date. We will send out solicitations of interest to prospective bidders based on the work categories that each company is certified to perform. Ex. – requests for proposals on masonry scopes will only go to those companies that have been certified to perform masonry work.

For questions, email us at subcontract@laguardiaB.com.
